Talking About Penises and their Size

After receiving a link to a documentary on "My Penis and Everyone Else's", I really have to share.  When I saw this at first, as I clicked open the video, I thought I would only watch the first five minutes and see what it was about.  I finished up watching the entire hour!!!

It was funny, hilarious at times, it was also rather sobering and indeed very thought provoking.  I had no idea men were so hung up about their penis!!  This documentary is indeed an emotional, revealing and engaging journey, that had me rivetted from the outset.  I strongly recommend EVERYONE to watch it.

I have to say that the guy who hosted the whole documentary has balls!!  What an amazing character to do what he did in trying to draw men out of their fears and comfort zone and be so up front about the size of his penis, which was..... well.... watch the video and find out!  It would be fair to say that my view of men and their penis is forever changed!!

Bikers Penis Hit By Lightning

Ouch!!

Biker

A Croatian motorbiker will be praying that the old adage 'lightning never strikes twice' rings true.

Unlucky Ante Djindjic, 29, from Zagreb was knocked unconscious when lightning struck his penis during a quick roadside toilet break.

Djindjic said: "I don't remember what happened. One minute I was taking a leak and the next thing I knew I was in hospital.

"Doctors said the lightning went through my body and because I was wearing rubber boots it earthed itself through my penis."

Djindjic escaped relatively unscathed from the incident, suffering only light burns to his chest and arms.

He said: "Thankfully, the doctors said that there would be no lasting effects, and my penis will function normally eventually."

Erectile Company Bound for Court

Re-produced from Channel Nine News

06:00 AEST Fri Dec 24 2010

A company behind medical services and medications for men suffering from sexual problems is being sued by a consumer watchdog for allegedly failing to diagnose men properly.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission started legal proceedings against Sydney-based company Advanced Medical Institute Pty Ltd and its subsidiary AMI Australia Holdings Pty Ltd, its chief executive Jacov Vaisman and two doctors in the Federal Court in Melbourne on Tuesday.

Lawyers for AMI, which is in voluntary administration, were informed of the proceedings on Wednesday, the same day Mr Vaisman and one of the doctors were served with court documents, the ACCC said.

The watchdog alleges from 2008 to 2010 AMI acted unconscionably in breach of the Trade Practices Act.

"The ACCC alleges that among other things doctors engaged by AMI conducted consultations with patients in manners which did not provide an appropriate diagnosis and medical treatment of male sexual dysfunction," the ACCC said in a statement on Thursday.

"AMI's sales representatives represented to patients they would be entitled to a refund if the AMI treatments were ineffective in circumstances where the sales representatives did not accurately or clearly disclose the conditions on which the refund was offered."

The ACCC alleges Mr Vaisman and the two doctors were knowingly concerned, a party to or otherwise aided, abetted, counselled or procured the contravention of the Trade Practices Act by AMI.

"The ACC is seeking declarations and injunctions against each of the respondents together with a disqualification against Mr Vaisman, disclosure orders against AMI, costs and other orders."

It is not the first time AMI has landed in hot water.banner4_AMI

Its bold billboards were banned by advertising regulators two years ago and earlier this month the Equal Opportunity Division of the Administrative Decisions Tribunal ordered it to pay $30,000 in compensation for unlawfully discriminating against an HIV-positivepatient.banner2_AMI

AMI's administrators Trent Hancock and Michael Hird, from BDO Australia, said in a statement on Wednesday that their appointment was not expected to have any impact on "AMI's hundreds of thousands of clients in Australia and New Zealand"

Be a Man - Hold Your Load

This is what the latest sign of the Advanced Medical Instutute touts as I drove past it near the main Tugun intersection on the Gold Coast.  Is there no end to what the founders of AMI will do to shame and pour scorn upon men with premature ejaculation issues?  Why would a practice that espouses to help men (and women) with sexual performance issues be so maligning and place such scornful signs up on billboards for all to see?

Where is the respect and regard for future clients?  Then there is the case of a gentleman being charged $4000 for treatment for his erection difficulties.  I ask you.....

AMI have continullay come under fire for misrepresentation, and for financial extortion.  It is beyond me why anyone would seek their services in the first place, yet, those with real issues, are probably not aware that there are more legitimate options available. recognise this billboard?longer_lasting_sex

As Michael Woodhead wrote for 6 minutes.com.au on 10th November.

A doctor working for an Advanced Medical Institute impotence clinic has been found guilty of unprofessional conduct for prescribing a $4000 nasal spray treatment after a cursory phone consultation with a patient with erectile dysfunction.

Dr Sergio Staraj was reprimanded by the Medical Council of NSW for failing to physically examine the patient, failing to keep a proper record of the consultation and failing to discuss treatments other than the unproven nasal spray containing apomorphine, phentolamine and metoclopramide. The Council heard that Dr Staraj was employed on a casual basis by the AMI clinic and conducted up to 40 telephone consults a day from his home office, despite having little training or previous experience in men’s health or urology.

The patient involved in the complaint case was seen by a nurse at an AMI clinic and then spoke briefly on the phone to Dr Staraj, who said he prescribed an 18-month course of treatment based on the AMI nasal spray, costing almost $4000. He said he did not prescribe the treatment for about 30% of patients due to lack of information.

An expert witness was critical of the AMI business model, saying that the patient did not have an adequate physical examination or medical history taken, and that the AMI nasal spray was an unproven and inappropriate first line treatment for erectile dysfunction. Dr Staraj said he did not follow up patients personally, but advised them to see their GP or a specialist.

The Council found Dr Staraj guilty of unprofessional conduct and issued a reprimand, noting that he was no longer working for AMI.

Sex Is Not Over After 50!

Having worked with seniors at an assisted living community in Perth I can tell you sex does not end at fifty and why should it? I read once that sex in your prime has no superiority over senior sex and that is true. It is just different. When men and women become older there is time to enjoy a new world of sexuality, which is often overlooked in our lustful youth. Healthy seniors tend to become more at ease with themselves, to want to take the time to enjoy their sexual experience, to be more accepting of body image and much more in touch with intimacy.

 The Statistics

In the US, a recent survey showed that 87% of married men and 89% of married women in the 60-64 age range are sexually active. Those numbers drop with advancing years, but 29% of men and 25% of women over the age of 80 are still sexually active.

The Myths

It is so common for women to believe that once menopause begins their sexual desire will diminish and they dry up! This belief is false and misleading. Once we have menopause sorted then life begins again. Thank goodness for lubricant, and especially the ones that are available with organic ingredients and also those Doctor’s who are willing to manage symptoms naturally. However some men and women’s libido does gently wane, quite naturally, but being held, hugged and gently stroked is as important in older age as it is for a baby!

Create the Mood

Older adults can benefit sexually from developing a relaxed and intimate mood prior to having sex; like sharing a romantic dinner, taking a shower or bath together, exchanging massages, or listening to music. Researchers recommend extended foreplay, including the use of vibrators and slower but longer intercourse for all sexually active adults.

 Good Communication

Be willing to communicate. Changes in aging can lower your interest in sex, making it harder to become aroused, and interfering with your ability to connect emotionally with your partner. The stress of worrying about how you will perform, or whether you’re worthy of sexual attention from your partner, can lead to impotence in men and lack of arousal or orgasm in women. All of which need sensitive communication with your loved one. Clearly explain your anxieties, ask for and accept reassurance, and take things slowly to avoid performance pressure.

Get Some Extra Assistance

It is helpful to discover that, as sexually you change, there are other ways to be loving and achieve real satisfaction and enjoyment. For instance, if one partner needs manual stimulation to become aroused, and the other partner has arthritis in the hands or tires easily, a vibrator could be really useful. In older men, impotence is not necessarily caused by a decrease in testosterone, but often by medications, chronic illness, anxiety or depression. Occasionally older men have erection difficulties. This can then sometimes create an ongoing problem that might need professional help. There is always the option of trying oils that are rubbed into the penis daily.  This synergy of oils acts as a vasodilator.

Make Love in the Morning

It is often recommended that older adults make love in the morning. Being well-rested after a good night's sleep can mean good sex, and older men are more likely to have a firm erection in the morning.

Positions to Try

  • The “spoon position”, in which both partners lie on their sides, the woman with her back to the man, is great for intimacy with or without intercourse.
  • The woman on her back and the man at a right angle to her on his side.
  • The person with less strength or endurance on her/his back, with the stronger partner kneeling above.

  Making the Most of It

Baby boomers coming into their 60’s are changing attitudes towards ageing. If someone sees ageing as depressing, hopeless and a sad state of being that is how it will be. If they see ageing as a rich and fulfilling part of their life's adventure that is how it will be also. It is a matter of choice. Life is what we make it, and starting with a proactive approach to our later years can make the difference. Seniors today are taking more control of their lives than ever before, living longer than before, retiring earlier than before and senior sex is not only on the rise, but getting even better!
