Is It All In The Bed?
Well I have covered some topics in my recent, rampant ramblings, but this one is a real left fielder! BEDS. Does the bed that you have sex in depict the sex you will have? Not necessarily the quality, this is usually dependant on other factors…..knowledge, interest level, self centeredness. But does the type of bed have any bearing on the type of sexual encounter?
I ask this question as my latest escapade took place on the bottom level of a set of bunk beds! This was not a pre planned experiment, I might add…..but when needs must! Upon going to my girl friends for dinner with her husband and a previous encounter of the wedding party kind, I arranged that I would stay over. We don’t want to miss out on the wine now do we? Much wine, good food and conversation revolving around this website later, my hosts retreated for the evening leaving the guests…the previous encounter and me, to our own devices. The bed was made…a double I will point out….but never the less a bunk.
Now this offers up obvious difficulties. Climbing on top of your partner and throwing one’s head back is most definitely advised against…a very dangerous maneuver. Also the ever favourite (a personal point of view) ‘doggy’ position can be hindered on his part due to, once again, lack of headroom. Add to these difficulties the regressional feeling of once again being in a bunk bed, (as 1 of 4 children this brings back many memories), and you can feel a little inhibited.
So it was disastrous? I hear you ask. No, on the contrary. It was just gave sex a whole new dimension.
There is no choice when coupling on a bottom bunk but to be closely wrapped in one another’s arms. A very intimate situation requiring closeness that is not always required during intercourse on a larger platform. What was discovered though is the major plus for this location……the foot holds! Just brilliant!! You can almost suspend yourself underneath the top bunk by both hands and feet. Toes curl nicely around the bars…….is this what jail sex is like?? Yes,they are same sex encounters, but still what are they complaining about….what fun.
So is it different in different beds? I think so.
- The oversized King beds in hotels do make for languid, lounging sex. Spread out, tossing and turning, but generally in a slow relaxed atmosphere.
- Your own bed….do you feel less inhibited here? More relaxed, more yourself. Willing to take a few more risks or branch out a little more.
- His bed…..does this have an effect on you? Is this where you feel pampered, a guest of the highest importance, sexy, sultry, a temptress.
- Camping….now that’s a whole new game. Animal, rustic….. a little too Brokeback mountain maybe…Ha Ha.
As they say….location, location, location!
Try a few different ones and remember, where ever you find to indulge yourselves, enjoy it and enjoy each other.
